Lady Vols add to frontcourt with Riley Makalusky

Tennessee added frontcourt size and experience with the addition of West Virginia transfer Riley Makalusky, a 6-foot-2 forward who brings versatility and perimeter touch to the Lady Vols.

Makalusky, a junior from Fishers, Indiana, appeared in 35 games during the 2025-26 season for the Mountaineers. She averaged 4.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 43% from the field.

She began her collegiate career at Butler, where she earned Big East All-Freshman honors and established herself as a strong outside shooter. Makalusky shot better than 46% from 3-point range as a freshman and continued to develop into a reliable rotational forward across her first two seasons.

At West Virginia, Makalusky provided depth and flexibility in the frontcourt, contributing in both starting and reserve roles. Her length and shooting ability will give Tennessee another option in stretching the floor.

She also adds valuable veteran experience after stops at multiple programs.

The move helps complete Tennessee’s roster heading into the 2026-27 season.
